Ponce Inlet Fishing Report by Capt. Billy Rotne

It sure feels like spring is here with the great weather we have been having. Mild days with temperatures in the upper 70’s have been the trend lately in the New Smyrna Beach and Ponce Inlet area, making for some really comfortable days on the water.

Cobia are almost here and we should be able to target them later this week and over the rest of March from offshore of Mosquito Lagoon all the way up to Daytona Beach. Now is the time if these fish are what you’re looking for.

Big bull redfish and big black drum have been keeping us catching inshore, with every trip over the last few weeks producing some great fish. The fishing for reds will only get better each day as the temperatures continue to get warmer.
