Ponce Inlet Florida Fishing Charters

The weather patterns have begun to shape up into the standard Florida summer weather, with beautiful mornings and chances of showers in the afternoon. These calm mornings will start to allow some of the best nearshore fishing of the year that takes place during the summer months.

Tarpon are arriving and have started their normal feeding cycles in the channels and inlet, and will be on the nearshore food sources very soon. Giant jacks and drag screaming false albacore tuna are also around on most days we fish off the beach, with the random chance of a manta ray with cobia.

Inshore fishing remains great for big bull redfish. We have caught some really impressive fish this week including a 50” 40lb fish that we managed on a 10lb test setup, along with several other really nice fish. Back country fishing is transitional right now with very high water adding a layer of difficulty to sight fishing, but that should level out within the next week or so as the fish begin to move into the most shallow portions of the back country to access new feeding areas that were previously off limits.
